Point a Pitre Overview |
| Guadeloupe’s economic centre and largest city Pointe-a-Pitre is a small town that began its existence as a fishing village in 1654, and has today a population of about 410,000 with about half being under the age of 20. The narrow streets of Pointe-a-Pitre are filled with cheerful crowds who seem to disappear at sunset leaving the town peaceful and quiet. |
